CURRENT TRANSFORMERS - INCOMING COMPARTMENT
Share this product page:
NEPSI’s Power Capacitor Banks can be equipped current transformers (CTs) for the purpose of providing a current signal(s) to the power capacitor bank metering and protection system.
Shorting blocks or shorting switches are provided with all current transformers. FT type test switches are available on request.
This option reduces installation cost by eliminating the requirement for wiring between upstream switchgear CT's and the power capacitor bank metering and protection system.
NEPSI has standardized on ABB's SCR Style Multi-Ratio Current Transformer. These CT's are UL recognized and meet all applicable IEEE and NEMA standards. They are both a relay and metering class current transformer.
The current transformers are typically mounted on an Aluminum shelf in the incoming compartment. Customer cables are routed through the CT windows.
Ample space between the CT and the terminal is provided for the customer's terminations (stress-cones).
Other CT's will be provided on customer request.
