NEPSI’s Power Capacitor Banks can be equipped with one or more control power transformers for the purpose of providing control power and voltage signals to the protection, metering, and control system.

Depending on availability and customer preference, the control power transformer may be dry type or oil-filled. Primary and secondary control power transformer protection is provided as standard.

This option reduces installation cost by eliminating the requirements for a customer supplied bus voltage signal or control power necessary to operate the power capacitor bank.
