NEPSI announced today that the company's field service team stands committed to the mining industry and their equipment located at mines by completing their MSHA refresher certifications for Metal/Nonmetal surface mines. This certification often allows their field technicians to gain faster access to their equipment for startup, commissioning, and maintenance, while also giving them awareness and understanding of conditions which may endanger their health and safety.

The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) is an agency of the United States Department of Labor which administers the provisions of the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act of 1977 (Mine Act) to enforce compliance with mandatory safety and health standards as a means to eliminate fatal accidents, to reduce the frequency and severity of nonfatal accidents, to minimize health hazards, and to promote improved safety and health conditions in the nation's mines.

NEPSI is the leading supplier of metal-enclosed harmonic filter banks and power capacitor banks to the mine industry. Their equipment improves the mine's power factor and power quality. Improvements in these areas often allow for less shut downs, higher throughput, and lower equipment failures.
